REAL TALK:

As a runner with big athletic thighs, I’ve had a lot of unfortunate run-ins with inner thigh chafing.

It happens when I wear 3” inseam shorts or shorter while I’m running long distances, as the skin from the tops of my thighs rub together literally thousands of times.

My thighs also touch when I sprint, but I don’t chafe because my skin can tolerate friction for short distances.

It’s only when I venture into thousands of steps, that I might have a problem.

The prolonged skin-on-skin thigh rubbing eventually takes its toll, especially if it’s hot or humid, as both factors intensify sweat production and increase the likelihood of chafing.

So if you want to want to avoid thigh chafing altogether when you run, I recommend wearing long, form-fitting shorts.

But if you just have to wear the super cute booty shorts, then make sure you slather some Body Glide anti-chafe moisturizing balm* on your thighs before you start your run.

It always works great for me when I remember to put it on LOL : )

Cheers to chafe-free running,

Martise : )
