I have been working with Martise for over 4 months now, and I have nothing but amazing things to say about her and her training methods. She is very professional, takes pride in teaching, and has an immense knowledge of the body and fitness.

She helped me work to make my running form more efficient and she constantly pushes me to work harder in a way that is inspiring. I am pretty stubborn, but she is still able to push me without making me want to quit. Her personality is easy going, funny and caring. I like that she meets with you in places that are outside of the gym, as we consistently change up where we meet, which keeps things interesting. She is always on time and has never canceled on me. 1st Time LA Marathon Racer (Yelp review)

After signing up for my very first half marathon race, I knew I was not in the shape that I needed to be in so I sought out a running coach and I was blessed to find Martise. She composed a personalized 4 month training plan to progress my mileage and long-distance enduance/speed. During our private sessions she taught me the proper running mechanics, how to run hills, drills to develop my fast-twitch muscles and of course, how to develop my mental strength. Throughout my race, I utilized every tool she taught me. Without her amazing training I would not have been as successful as I was. I am so proud of my results and I have Martise to thank for that!

1st Time Half Marathoner (Yelp review)

Martise taught me how to run hills and incorporate track form into my marathon/half-marathon running! My uphills were decent, but i was always afraid of running downhill after some shin splints years ago. I would always slow down during downhills. She showed me the proper way to run up and down hills, and it works! I now gain some speed on the downhills and I’m able to push up long uphills with proper form – small steps, strong core & pumping arms.  I just ran the La Jolla Half and Mountains2Beach Marathon – both super hilly. I only half-trained for the marathon, but I got my 2nd best time ever in both (2:12:40 & 4:38:51), my best being 3 years ago when I was younger.  Martise also taught me techniques for sprinting to the finish (like in track) and mental toughness for those hard moments. I’m very happy with my progress!
